PRAY for me!!

Hey Everyone,

I am so glad that I have all of you to count on for your prayers. Yesterday, Eidy’s and Cokie’s father came and took them back to Jocon. He said that he is not able to visit them and wants them to return to the village. He has not been able to come for 8 months and so I do understand his feelings, but he knows that this is not the best decision for the little girls. They did not even have enough food when they were there before and now he has a new girlfriend (16 years old) living with them in the house and she is pregnant. I told him that maybe she should get used to having a new baby herself before trying to… Continue reading

“And there was light . . . “

Hey Everyone,

You can celebrate with us now — we have light. “And God said, ‘Let there be light’, and there WAS light.” God certainly said so this time and every obstacle was broken down and we have electricity in our house now. I am so BEYOND thankful. So we are getting spoiled quickly –… Continue reading

I’m Back

Hey Everyone,

Thank you SO much for your many prayers for me while I was in the USA for 2 weeks. Actually, it was just 12 days that I was actually there and the time was so crammed with things to do and people to see. I apologize to those of you who I did not see or even speak to on the phone. That is by no means an indication of my love for you but I just could not do all that was demanded of me. I am so worn out from being in the States – I don’t know how all of you survive on that fast lane like you do. I don’t think I could last a month there!! I was so happy to get… Continue reading

Sad News – Please PRAY

Hey Everyone,

I am so brokenhearted tonight and want to share a big prayer request (although want to keep it general for protection of Carlos). Carlos has had to resign as our pastor and Sunday School teacher as he has sinned in a public way. He is completely repentent and has the forgiveness of his family and me but this is a VERY hard time for all of us. There are some other complications too and we need prayer — but God knows each of those problems without me sharing them so just pray fervently for us. Carlos will be meeting with Pastor Cesar weekly for accountability and more discipleship and he will continue as our construction manager and helper with groups, etc. He will continue to attend our… Continue reading
