Thanks for Praying

Hey Everyone,
I wanted to give you an update on some of the things that I asked you to pray for last 10 days ago.
First of all, the couple that work at the other children’s home, Mark and Paula, decided to return to the USA for a few months to have some counseling and pray for more direction and return after Christmas.  They are sure of their calling to Honduras and are seeking his direction on how to continue here.  They do not plan to live in the house with the boys anymore and are looking for a couple to live there now.  If that works out and they find a couple for that home, then they will live outside and still help with the boys in studies and… Continue reading

Much Prayer Needed

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your constant prayers for us here at Destino.  God is up to so many wonderful things and at the same time we have a lot of struggles going on right now so we need your faithful prayers for us.

Good News

Hey Y’all,

Thanks for your prayers. We had some great news from the electric company. Carlos spent several days running around and one whole day in the capital city but finally got an answer about our electricity. For those that don’t know, they had decided to charge us a deposit of about $1,500 (which we did not have). After Carlos spent time talking to the head people and they heard about our ministry, they are not only NOT going to require a deposit, they will charge us less every month for our regular electric bills. Praise God for His favor that He has given us. I am always so amazed at the way He turns hearts towards this ministry to help us in so many ways.

All of… Continue reading

School Has Started

Hey Everyone,

I should have written y’all last week but school was starting and we had so many last minute things to get together. Things are going well though and everyone is settling down in their classes now. The first few days were very frustrating. The director and Carlos and I had made a decision that we were not adding any more children after the week before school was to start. On the first day of school, Iris was cooking and said she didn’t have enough food — I couldn’t understand what was happening and checked and found that Sandra, the director, had added 10 more students without checking with us. I made her explain to the parents that she had been in error and we are not taking… Continue reading
