Hey Everyone,
I am so sorry that I have not written in several weeks.  I know you would all like an update and I am sorry to have kept you waiting.

Please be praying for my mom.  She has been in the hospital again and on Wednesday morning they diagnosed her with pancreatic cancer.  However, a different cancer doctor came in her room about noon and said he just was not sure he agreed because some things just didn’t add up.  He did two more tests that night and we have to wait until Tuesday to have the results back from those other tests.  It is a hard long wait.  Our hopes soared again when we knew he had  doubts but we want to just keep praying for God… Continue reading

Hey Everyone,
I just found out that I made a BIG mistake in saying we had all the sponsors.  I saw only one more child on the website when I was in Augusta and ASSUMED that we only had one left and several people came up and said they would get on the website and sign up — so I thought we had them all.  Heather was taking the pictures for Zac to assign and she hadn’t sent them all to him yet (because of all the things that have been happening here — one, her computer was stolen, etc.) and so now there are EIGHT MORE CHILDREN to be sponsored.  Don’t stop praying and if anyone was prepared to sign up for a child and through my email thought… Continue reading

Hey Everyone,
This will be quick (that is a change, I know), but we really need prayer for another teacher for our English classes.   We need an American to come and teach with Heather, the 4-K and kindergarten and first grade English classes.  They don’t have to have teaching experience but creativity and pretty good Spanish background.  If you know anyone that may be interested, let me know as soon as possible.  We would love to have them come right after Christmas, if possible and they would need to raise about $400 a month for expenses and also enough for their flights here.  We provide room and utilities, and transportation, etc.

Hey Everyone,
I can’t thank you enough for your prayers for us.  I know it has been traumatic for all of us but I know that also made everyone pray for us more, some of you even waking up in the night to pray some more.  Thank you soooooo much.
I found out yesterday that the same gangs are doing even more damage to the Menonites in the next village.  They have had more robberies and damage done to them than we can complain about.  They know the people are coming from El Socorro where we know the people that are robbing us are coming from.  Only God can stop this action so please continue to pray.  We are absolutely that the police came so quickly to our aid at… Continue reading
