Hey Everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for all your prayers about our broken water pump and motor.  We had about 3 weeks without water, but it was a good time to remember that we are blessed beyond measure here at Destino with electricity and running water and so much more than most of our students have in their little houses.   God is good to us and I guess sometimes it is good to lose things so that we recognize His daily mercies and goodness.  Thanks to so many who contributed to the purchase of the motor and pump.  We were told that the original pump was not installed correctly and that we were also supposed to have had the well cleaned every year or… Continue reading

Hey Prayer Partners,

Thanks for your continued prayers for us at Destino del Reino.  Sometimes, I just get so overloaded and worried and it is SIN!!! God says not to worry so when I do, it is sin and I am confessing that to all of you right now.  I know in my head that this ministry (almost 300 people involved) is God’s ministry and the problems are HIS, but I so quickly forget that and start trying to carry the load.  This is destroying me and I need your prayer that I will quickly recognize it when I start bearing the burdens.  It is TOOOOO big for me!!!

Hey Everyone,

I have been convicted lately about the fact that I do NOT rejoice in all things, as the Bible commands us to do.  Gratefulness is so key in our walk with the Lord daily and I am so guilty of seeing all that is not right instead of all that IS right.  Please pray for me to be more focused on all that God is doing in Destino and not on the things that still are lacking.

Hey Everyone,

Well, we once again have started another school year at Destino del Reino.  Every year I have been amazed at God’s faithful provision for every need and I take a gasp as we decide we are supposed to move forward and trust Him even further with an additional 40 students this year.  Although we don’t have the sponsorships for about 25 of the students, we are sure that they are supposed to be with us and that God will provide for them.  It is so amazing to see these children who come from very desperate home situations (i.e. no electricity or water in their houses, no shoes and very little family income) transformed into young ladies and gentlemen with a heart for the Lord Jesus and desire… Continue reading
